 One nice feature in some of the
Bob Jones mid-elementary texts is the built-in “graph-paper” for working addition or subtraction problems. This helps the student keep the numbers in
their proper place eliminating careless errors. For grade 5 and 6, purchase a graph paper notebook for working your student's math problems.

This edition has over 300 pages which may seem like a lot for a kindergartner. However, if your child is advanced in math, you
can skip the pages he knows. If your child needs more practice, then you can assign as many as necessary.
Each page in the kindergarten math has a nice amount of problems--enough to learn and still have fun. Visually and
artistically, the graphics and layout are more appealing than some of the other kindergarten math workbooks.
I also appreciate the "visual manipulatives" for each of the problems. The child can see the problem with various figures or
pictures of familiar math manipulatives.
If you have a 4 year old who wants to do math, you could start this book a little early and take longer.
Overall, I am very impressed with this edition of the Bob Jones Kindergarten math workbook. |

Math 4 Reviews offers two review pages for each lesson and a chapter review at the end of each chapter.
They may be used anytime after the lesson is taught. Concepts from the lesson are reviewed on the first page. The second page give facts practice and reviews
concepts from previous lessons.
This is included in the kit and would be very beneficial for the student who needs extra practice to master math concepts.
For homeschoolers, I think you could also use it over the summer to review what the student has learned during the year and to make sure the concepts were
mastered before moving on the next grade.
