Great Composers Coloring Book
Text By
Paul Negri, Illustrations by John Green, Dover
"Music
appreciation and imagination go hand-in-hand in this singular collection of
images spotlighting Vivaldi, Back, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Chopin,
Debussy, Stravinsky, Gershwin, Shostakovich, and other musical masters. Spanning
three centuries of renown, the clothing styles and settings of each scene are
meticulously rendered for historical accuracy. Captions [about one paragraph
each] accompany each illustration, revealing fascinating details of the
composers' lives and masterworks."
Thirty different composers are illustrated in the Great
Composers Coloring Book. This is a good choice for a general study of famous
composers. The descriptions in the Bellerophon coloring books are more detailed
and each book focuses on specific time periods. |
