DIVE Physical Science CD-ROM

This course lays a solid foundation for chemistry and
physics. Topics in DIVE Physical Science include atoms, chemical compounds and
reactions as well as force, motion, thermodynamics, and electricity.
Students need to have completed Algebra I or be taking it
concurrently.

Dive Biology CD-ROM
Dr. David Shormann, instructor
A college preparatory course, some parts of biology involve
memorization of many names and parts. Because of this, about half the lessons do
not have a lecture, as Dr. Shormann wants students to spend time defining terms
and memorizing facts.
The Video Labs include many detailed photographs and videos
of microscopic organisms, as well as descriptive earthworm, crayfish,
fish, frog
and pig dissections.
Upon completion of this course and CLEP Professor for
Biology (available spring 2009) students can earn up to 8 college credits by
passing the CLEP exam.

DIVE Chemistry CD-ROM

labs, 16 of which are AP labs.
Upon satisfactory completion of chemistry and CLEP Professor
for Chemistry (available spring 2009), students can earn up to 8 college credits
by passing the CLEP Chemistry exam, allowing students to receive both college
and high school credit. Students need to have completed Algebra 2 or be taking
it concurrently.

DIVE into Math CDs
Students see and hear everything the instructor is writing
and saying on a whiteboard on their computer screen. It is just like being in a
real classroom, except there is no teacher in the way. Students learn by working
practice problems that are similar, but not identical to the practice problems
in the text. Lessons are 10-20 minutes long (doesn't count the time it takes to
work practice problems). If students need more practice, they can work the
problems in the text in addition to the DIVE problems explained on the CD.
Easily re-wind, fast-forward, and pause with the click of a mouse. Each lesson
is stored as an individual file so it is easy to choose the proper lecture.
"All DIVE CDs are taught from a Christian perspective, with
an emphasis on science as a tool for studying God's creation. Dr. Shormann's
Christian testimony is on every CD and many lessons start with an encouraging
Bible verse.

System Requirements: Windows 98 or greater, speakers, CD drive, and a
printer (for DIVE Science).
All CDs work on Windows and Mac operating systems.
