Explode the Code Phonics Workbooks
 Explode the Code was chosen by Cathy Duffy as on of her "100 Top Picks for Homeschool Curriculum" in the phonics, reading, and literature category. The books are available separately or in bundles. If you aren't sure where to place your student, there is a Placement Test
or you can look at the consonants, vowels, and blends covered in each book if you know which sounds the student needs to learn. For the child who likes to
learn with flash cards, Code Cards are available.

The Explode the Code 1/2 Series is useful for the student who needs extra practice in a regular level of the
series. For example if your student completed level 1, but struggled with it or needs more practice of the same level, then
use EC Book 1 1/2 before proceeding to Level 2. If your student is doing well with each level, you won't need the
