Matin Latin
is a different Latin program (also from Canon Press) that works like an
elementary version of the classic Wheelock's Latin and focuses on a strong
foundation in English grammar, then moving to the Latin grammar equivalent in
clear, short steps.
After completion of either the Latin Primer series or the
Matin Latin series, your student can move to
Latin Grammar. All of the Latin courses from
Canon Press use classical pronunciation.
Latin Primer I, Third Edition
Changes to the New and Revised 3rd Edition of Latin Primer 1
- Completely redesigned the layout in a simple lesson-by-lesson
format. All lesson material is in that lesson.
- Additional practice and review for students and more material
for teachers to gauge the student's level of understanding.
- Expanded Teacher's Edition. It mirrors the student book and
includes the answers, weekly quizzes, and redesigned teacher's
lesson notes. The note explain flow of every lesson and offer tips
on preparation and focus.

you don't have to know Latin. The Latin Primer series sets up the
framework for learning Latin from a classical, Trivium-based approach.
Latin Primer 3 starts with review and then
delves deeper into grammar through more complicated
translations. By the end of the text, students will be able to
begin the Latin Grammar series.
The Latin Primer 3 Student workbook is intended for one year’s

students lesson by lesson through the Latin Primer 3 workbook. It is very
helpful for parents who would like their children to continue learning Latin,
