The Latin Primer 2 and 3 curriculum, 2nd Edition, by Martha Wilson assumes that the parent has a knowledge of Latin; however, if you use the Logos School instruction DVDs for each level, you don't have to know Latin.  The Latin Primer series sets up the framework for learning Latin from a classical, Trivium-based approach.

Matin Latin is a different Latin program (also from Canon Press) that works like an elementary version of the classic Wheelock's Latin and focuses on a strong foundation in English grammar, then moving to the Latin grammar equivalent in clear, short steps.

After completion of either the Latin Primer series or the Matin Latin series, your student can move to Latin Grammar. All of the Latin courses from Canon Press use classical pronunciation.

Changes to the New and Revised 3rd Edition of Latin Primer 1

Completely redesigned the layout in a simple lesson-by-lesson format.  All lesson material is in that lesson.

Latin Primer II

Continue your Latin education with Latin Primer II. By the end of the text, students will be translating sentences using all five declensions, as well as present, imperfect, and future tenses. Latin Primer 2 is a one year program. After completion of this level, the student will progress to Latin Grammar.
