In this literature based survey of Civil War to Vietnam War time-period, students will read such classics as Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Red Badge of Courage,
Around the World in 80 Days, The Hiding Place, The Diary of Anne Frank, House of Sixty Fathers, and many more. The US and World History Study Guide also
includes The six books by Albert Marrin.
This one or two-year course is designed for the upper junior high or high school level.
Some of the content in the required books is more mature, particularly the Albert Marrin books. I would not recommend trying to adapt it for use with younger children.
There is quite a list of books required for this course. The ones which we
