Homeschool High School

The high school section includes informational books and electives for the secondary student.

For more curriculum choices, see the listings by subject or publisher.

As more homeschoolers graduate and enter the job market or the higher educational system, it is becoming easier for others to be accepted.  Some colleges and universities offer special scholarships to homeschool graduates.  You can teach high school at home!

We suggest that you keep good records, prepare a “professional” transcript (using a word processing program and a really good printer), and help your student find his gifting.

A Little About the SAT and ACT

Online SAT Registration, SAT Test Preparation, College Search

You can register online or ask them to mail forms.

You may want to check out calculators--one can use SAT approved calculators on the test.  Most of them show on the labels which are SAT approved.

You can use the info on the PSAT scores to focus on certain areas to help raise scores.

Sometimes if the SAT scores are just a little higher, you can qualify for better scholarships.  It is not hard to raise them around 50-100 points if you take time to look at the test scores and see which areas could be improved.

ACT Assessment Homepage   I also recommend that college bound students also take the ACT. For scholarship/admission purposes if one does significantly better on the ACT and the college accepts it, you can possibly access more scholarship funds.  Some homeschoolers do better on one or the other.
