Learning Language Arts Through Literature Curriculum

Save During Our Learning Language Arts Through Literature Sale!

We recommend that you use Learning Language Arts through Literature for at least one of the learning years for each child. First, you'll have a year of language arts from one integrated program--no separate books for handwriting, spelling, vocabulary, writing, literature/reading. Then the approach this series uses is different from the typical language arts curriculum; it promotes different types of skills. Finally, it's a curriculum that helps make teaching and learning a pleasure.

For our three younger daughters, when we used the program, they learned to enjoy writing. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but it certainly helped us.

For the middle levels, from Orange to Green, we typically did our language arts together in a three hour period. All of us sat around the dining table, and I went from child to child and worked through the lesson for the week. It was always fun when the younger children popped up with the answers to the older children's lessons! I helped each one work the first question in each exercise, and these were finished during the remainder of the week.

Each level uses from 3 to 6 supplemental books (most use four, all available in paperback at reasonable prices or they can be borrowed from the library).
