It is intended for students in grade 3 and up. After the completion of Matin Latin 1 and 2, the student can proceed to the Latin Grammar series, also by Canon Press.

Another course from Canon Press, the Latin Primer series sets up the framework for learning Latin from a classical, Trivium-based approach and is available with instructional DVDs.

Matin Latin 1

Beginners in Latin will appreciate Karen Craig's step-by-step, illustrated approach. Originally developed for homeschoolers, Matin Latin 1 works like an elementary version of the classic Wheelock's Latin, focusing on a strong foundation in English grammar, then moving to the Latin grammar equivalent in clear, short steps. This is a one year curriculum.

Matin Latin 2 expands significantly on verb and noun use, including more translation work and multiple stories. By the end of the text, students will be ready to move on to the Latin Grammar series. Matin Latin 2 is a one year curriculum.
