Mystery of History Homeschool Curriculum
"If you are looking for a
multi-level Bible based history curriculum that doesn't separate church history
from state history, then you will be pleased with Mystery of History!" Harriet Yoder, Lamp Post Homeschool Store
3/05 The Mystery of History was chosen by Cathy
Duffy as on of her "100 Top Picks for Homeschool Curriculum" in the
history/social studies category.
5/05 I started using it with our three 7 to 11 year old
sons last fall. I read the lesson aloud and do some (though not all) of the
projects with the older two (the middle one is 9 years old). We are about half
way through the text (taking longer because I supplemented with some ancient
history videos--like you would get from the library). I plan to take a few
weeks to do the timeline activities (instead of doing that with each lesson). It is just easier for us to do one major thing at a time and do it really well!
The author says on the back of the text that it was written
primarily for gr. 4 to 8 but that it is adaptable for older and younger
students. I think you will like it and appreciate having all your children on
the same page in at least one subject.

From the Back Cover
"Learn how God,
since the beginning of time, has sought to reveal Himself to man. From Noah and Abraham and Moses, to the Egyptians, the Greeks and the
Romans, the Lord has been at work to testify to His presence and tell us
who He is. Ultimately, He revealed Himself through Jesus Christ. Your students will learn how and why the mystery of history is the gospel
of Jesus Christ. This historically accurate and exciting book will
have your whole family eating up history! Plenty of worthwhile
projects will occupy the younger set while older students are doing their
completely planned lessons, making this a dream course for busy
homeschoolers. About the Author

of home schooling her three children and 15 years of ministry experience
with Campus Crusade for Christ, Linda brings passion, inspiration, and her
