Our Beautiful America History Curriculum
Written by the authors of Our Golden California, Our Beautiful America is a portrait of our Christian Heritage. There is a hardcover student text, a student workbook, a student testbook and a teacher's guide.
Is it Christian showing the hand of God in the history of the United States?
A customer recently asked us that question. I grabbed a book off the shelf and described it to her on the phone. In the discussion of the various Indian tribes it mentions which ones were open to Christianity. The Trail of Tears is under the subheading titled White Man's Error, and it was. In the discussion of the Thirteen Colonies, there is mention of the common thread which was religion--the different forms of Christianity that each colony had. Jumping ahead to the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin's speech about opening the meetings in prayer is printed in its entirety. I could go on with more examples through the end of the book, but the answer is yes. The hand of God is shown throughout Our Beautiful America. It ends with a call to prayer for this great nation.
