Paradigm Industrial Skills And Careers Curriculum
This high school elective from Paradigm is
"designed to introduce teenagers to basic tools and skills associated with
construction and repair of auto, home, and community facilities."
Two of our children have taken this course--one daughter and
one son. They enjoyed it and have applied what they learned. Conveniently for
our son, we were doing an addition to our home about the same time. He learned
about carpentry, concrete, and dry wall just before he had hands-on experience.
Industrial Skills and Careers
teaches not only "how to use basic tools, but also to embrace courtesy, honesty,
integrity, and commitment." It counts for 1/2 high school credit.
