Rosetta Stone® Foreign Language System Requirements

Currently there are two versions of Rosetta Stone®. Version 3 requires more memory for each level that you install. It also requires and internet or phone connection for product activation. Rosetta Stone, Version 3 will also run on Vista.

System Requirements for Rosetta Stone® Foreign Language Curriculum

Version 2

Version 2 is still available for these languages in the Rosetta Stone® curriculum: Danish, Indonesian, Latin, Pashto, Polish, Swahili, Tagalog, Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese, and Welsh.

The system requirements for Version 2 are:

Windows 2000 or XP, Mac OS X 10.3 or higher

128 MB RAM

250 MB free hard-drive space

16-bit sound card

800 x 600 display resolution

Speech Recognition feature requires a headset microphone (USB or analog) (Note: The USB headset microphone is included with the Rosetta Stone set.)

Version 3

Version 3 is available for the more popular languages in the Rosetta Stone curriculum. The following languages are available in version 3: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin) Dutch, English UK, English US, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Irish (Gaelic), Italian, Korean, Persian (FARSI), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), and Swedish.

The system requirements for Version 3 are:

Windows 2000, XP or Vista, Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later

1 GHz or faster processor speed

512 RAM

600 MB free hard-drive space (per level)

16-bit sound card

800 x 600 display resolution (1024 x 768 recommended)

Internet or phone connection required for product activation.
