A good math program with a proven track record for homeschoolers is Saxon Math.
 If your student needs to
work twenty-five problems of the same type to learn a concept, this might not be
the best program for you unless you adapt the problem sections. Saxon Math 54

Saxon Math 87 now come with the option of "components only" or in a retail box

Geometry In Saxon Algebra 1 and 2
The new Saxon Geometry Kit is available
now. For those of you who want a separate geometry from Saxon, this should work.
In the meantime, Saxon Algebra 1 and 2 still includes
geometry. If you are required by law to keep a log, please log the lessons on
geometry separately as geometry. 12/4/06 Note: I like to use BJUP Geometry with
Saxon to make sure all the bases are covered.
We think the Solution Manuals are a must for Algebra ½ and
up! Not just the answers, the problems are worked for you! They are also
available for Saxon Math 54 to Saxon Math 87. If you need help
with Saxon Math or want offer additional instruction, then we can highly
recommend that you purchase the appropriate DIVE CD. Using Saxon Math in
conjunction with the
DIVE CDS makes them one of our favorite math program
bundles: DIVE CD and Saxon Math Bundles. The
Saxon Homeschool Teacher Lesson
and Test CDs
offer instruction for each lesson. The instructor shows how to work
every problem in the book. They are available for Saxon Algebra 1, 3rd Ed.,
Saxon Algebra 2, 3rd Ed., and Advanced Math, 2nd Ed. Saxon plans to produce
these for every level from Saxon 54 and up. We will add them as they become
