God's Design for Science Curriculum
Save on God's Design Science Curriculum Bundles!
What we have here is a homeschooler's dream for a complete elementary
science curriculum (Grades K-6). The God's Design for Science series teaches scientific
and critical thinking
skills from the creation science perspective. Minimal teacher preparation is required.
There are hands on activities with every
lesson of the series which was written by homeschoolers for
homeschoolers. Since it is a multi-level program, it is easy to use with
multiple children and different ages. God's Design Science works with all
learning styles and has a strong Christian worldview
God's Design for Science
Mini-Review by Harriet Yoder
Remember you heard it at Lamp Post first! How about combining this more detailed homeschool science curriculum
with Considering God's Creation,
an overview creation science course for grades K-8? You will then have
a two to three year curriculum for elementary school!
You will. Though each of these is a stand-alone product, you can use the Considering
God's Creation science curriculum as the starting point and branch off
to each of the God's Design units as focal points for a more in-depth
study of that topic. They fit together nicely. The order
of study would be Our Universe, Our Planet Earth, Our Weather
and Water, The World of Plants, The Animal Kingdom, and The Human
Body.
I would suggest using books with color photographs to supplement this
curriculum. Each of the books in the series has a Resource Guide to help
you choose resource books and even science videos. You can look in your
local library or purchase them for your home library!
When I was talking about this curriculum with one of our
local customers, we came upon the idea of using the Considering God's Creation
study after using this series. There were two reasons. First, most
of her children were younger and wouldn't benefit from the excellent workpages
in Considering God's Creation at this time. Second, she had already
started using the God's Design and Great Science Adventures. She still
wanted to do Considering God's Creation, and we thought it would be a great
review course after the completion of the first six books of the God's Design
series.
