Your student needs good typing skills to use a computer effectively.
We offer Keyboarding Skills from EPS which teaches basic keyboarding for students of all ages. For older students,
Mastering Computer Typing might be a better choice because it focuses on typing on the
computer and offers information about the keyboard, fonts, etc.
There are also inexpensive software typing programs available at local office supply stores for under $10.
The program called Typing Tutor is one example. There is also free program from Source Forge called
Type Faster Typing Tutor. It is free, but if you wish to donate,
they will accept it. It is easy to install and easy to use.
Another typing book that also reinforces spelling and reading is Individualized Keyboarding by Don McCabe.
