Wordly Wise 3000 2nd Edition Vocabulary Workbooks Grade K-6
Wordly Wise 3000 2nd Edition Vocabulary Workbooks for Kindergarten to Grade 6Wordly Wise 3000, Second Edition, provides direct and systematic vocabulary instruction and enhances reading comprehension.It also includes reading first strategies and Greek and Latin Roots. Some levels of the Wordly Wise 3000 1st Edition vocabulary curriculum are still available; however, it is going out of print.
Differences Between 1st and 2nd Edition of Wordly Wise 3000The Wordly Wise 3000 Series is revised. Kindergarten and Grade 1 books were added to the series. The other levels are renumbered to correspond to grade level. For example, Wordly Wise 3000 2nd Edition Book 6 is for grade 6. What's New in Books 4 to 6 Word Lists appear throughout each lesson. There are Greek and Latin root exercises. They have an engaging, colorful format. The reading passage references (date/historical) were updated where necessary and there are Word Study Exercises with Greek and Latin roots, prefixes, suffixes, parts of speech, synonyms, antonyms, and analogies. The old books A, B, and C have been recycled into two books (Books 2 and 3.) Each one has 15 lessons. Completely new are Level K and 1. The kindergarten book has 12 lessons, and Book 1 has 15 lessons. They are very colorful with nice illustrations. You will need the Wordly Wise 3000 Teacher Resource Package for each of these levels because there are "teacher will read you some stories" that are in the Teacher Books. That's unfortunate because the Teacher's resource package is pricey. Maybe they will add a homeschool teacher book for levels K and 1 at some point. Wordly Wise 3000 Second Edition Grades 2 and 3Each level has 15 lessons in with 5 exercises for each lesson. The five exercises for each lesson are: Words and their meanings, Just the Right Word, Applying Meanings, Word Study, and a reading passage with questions. The Teacher Resource Package for each level includes the Teacher’s Guide, the Answer Key, and Blackline Master Tests in one easy-to-use book. The resource package for each level has the following features:

Wordly Wise 3000, Second Edition Grades 4 to 6In Books 4 to 6 of the new Wordly Wise 3000 2nd. Ed., there are 20 lessons that are divided into 5 parts. Each lesson has the word list in dictionary style. The five parts of each lesson are: Finding Meanings, Just the Right Word, Applying Meanings, Word Study, and Passage (a reading that uses the vocabulary words for that lesson with exercises that follow.) Skills covered in the Wordly Wise 3000 vocabulary series for grades 4 to 6 include: vocabulary development, reading comprehension, critical thinking, using a dictionary and pronunciation key, word usage, test taking/assessment, context clues, synonyms and antonyms, prefixes, suffixes, roots, homophones, picture clues and captions, analogies, and word origins. The Teacher Resource Package for each grade from 4 to 6 includes the Teacher’s Guide, the Answer Key, and Blackline Master Tests in one easy-to-use book. The resource package for each level includes the following features:
